COFFEE DOSE

“If you don’t have a sense of humor, Maybe try Starbucks”

Now this place has a whole lot of LADY cajones! I love their IDGAF, funny, creative unique vibe ! From the punny names of the items on the menu (THE THICKY THICC , THE SIDE CHICK!! COME ON!!) , to plastering negative yelp reviews , and their amazing merch. I LOVE IT. Each location has its own individual look and amazing aesthetics yet maintains “the coffee snob and basic bitch” friendly space the owner Jeni is going for.

The East 18th location was the first location owner Jeni Castro opened, and by some coincidence (aka me not being able to read directions or a map) it was also the first location I visited! Since it does share a space with a salon this location is one of the smallest locations yet gets the job done! There are still opportunity for photo Op’s and seating, yet it is more of a grab and go location.

As mentioned before I am not the best with navigation and yes it tells you step by step. But what happens when you put in the wrong location to begin with, on what was suppose to be a quick coffee run? Well we end up at the Rodeo 39 location, a trip that was suppose to be a 6 min drive turned into a 20 min drive…AND IT WAS WORTH IT.

If you are familiar with the Rodeo 39 Public Market, then you know where to find this location. The Rodeo 39 location is perfectly located smack down in the center as soon as you walk up. Its a perfect location to start your day with a coffee and breakfast at Coffee dose. Within this marker place you can shop, listen to live music, grab a drink, play arcade games and grab a bit to eat all without having to drive around all day. Think about all the gas you will save! ;p

It is ironic that the location that has always been closes to me, is 2nd to last for me to visit. The Flagship location is by far my favorite, aside from their friendly staff and their beautiful décor. IT HAS A COCKTAIL MENU!!! Jeni did not disappoint, COUGAR CRACK, which is hilariously a generous pour of chardonnay! I love her authenticity and humor. I have gone back to this location for coffee, lunch and happy hour!

Even though I have one more location to visit, Flagship would have to be my favorite location. Given the distance from work, the employees, and well who doesn’t love a hibiscus marg!

With a 13 min drive being the only thing in my way… I will soon to be 4/4.

Irvine, Here I come!
